F3. Curriculum Sites
In this information age, a student’s education should be supplemented with dozens of outside resources, whether they are websites, interactive programs, or books from a local library. When building a curriculum for the classroom, we need to think about progressing the whole student in his or her education by giving her access to the most effective tools developed by the world’s most innovative teams and companies. Below are a few resources that I have found to be invaluable in building a strong education experience in Language Arts and Social Studies.
Google Earth Education
This powerful platform is a curiosity engine that inevitably creates questions and insights about the world. When students explore Google Earth, they learn so much about geography and culture. My hopes are that in the next few years, Google Earth will debut more and more content that are for teachers and by teachers. My guess is that we are about to enter a golden age of Google Earth.
