TEDxYouth@ASBGV2023:
”Before”math
"Often, you will hear about the "after"math of problems. Maybe you find a way to do something about it, maybe you forget the problem existed, or maybe you feel a small amount of guilt because you knew but did not act. Regardless, you never get to know the "before"math that adds up to preventing the problem in the first place. Fundamentally, we think it is much healthier for our mindset if we take account of the "before"math around us and make small changes to our perspectives, especially when it comes to how we view what is in our control. We want this TEDxYouth event to reflect the fact that our generation has had to learn to adapt to the mistakes made by previous generations and be okay with making the most of what we have received in terms of navigating those intractable problems. During this TEDxYouth event, which will discuss the use of microplastics, the effects national athens have on listeners, the influence of public spaces on citizens, and more, we will help you build a perspective on how individuals can navigate society in a way that lets you add up the "before"math that can spare us from the "after"math of things gone wrong." - Yujie (Vicky) Zhong)

TEDxYouth@ASBGV2024:
Technology x Humanity
"Our generation grew up during the time that technology was evolving from being inhuman to having human-like qualities. Recognizing this fact, this event will reflect that our generation has had to learn to adapt to the changes in technology by making the most out of it while not losing our humanity to it. We will delve into the intersection of "Technology x Humanity." The 'x' here symbolizes multiplication, reflecting the exponential impact technology has on our lives. In this fast-changing era, we understand that technology brings both blessings and challenges. We recognize that the healthiest mindset to navigate the technology landscape is to understand what lies within our control. Today, our speakers will share insights and experiences that shed light on this theme. we will help you build a perspective on how individuals can navigate society in a way that lets technology multiply the best of our humanity.” - Yujie (Vicky) Zhong)
