Two classes that I covered were under Group 3: Individuals and Societies in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
IB Global Politics
As a longterm substitute (2 months), I helped student wade through current events and learn political theorists. Students explored Hobbes and Locke, and they picked current event case studies to contextualize what they learned.
Unit 1: Power, sovereignty and international relations
Students attended a launch event at the U.N. Conference Centre in for a campaign to prevent violence against children with disabilities.
IB Business Management
As a longterm substitute (8 months), I guided students as they learned business structures, mathematical approaches required for accounting, and the soft skills necessary for leadership. Students worked with real world case studies and prepared for their examinations.
