In 2015, I created a Student of Day program to give teachers a platform form which to celebrate fantastic students. Each morning, we spotlighted at least one student on the morning announcements. 

We would also send that student a personalized certificate explaining how the student had worked hard in the classroom, went above and beyond for a club or activity, or helped out a classmate with an act of kindness.
