September / October Outside Reading Choices - Please Select One from Below! 
That's right! We're reading an outside reading each month. Imagine it like a book club, but keep in mind you are getting a grade for this. Watch out Oprah!!

Below are seven novels that relate to our unit of story, The Hero's Journey. Each one of these books either fits the genres of Edgar Allan Poe's short stories (Mystery, Horror, and Suspense), the themes of The Most Dangerous Game (Survival, Competition, Rationality), or stress the trials a young hero faces throughout the Hero's Journey we find in The Odyssey. Please choose ONE of these novels and have it read by the due date, when the novel analysis, chapter questions, and comprehension quiz are due. Please feel free to purchase the novel or use the school or local library.
