Tutorials
I offer homework tutorials in my classroom on Thursdays between 3:45pm and 4:45pm.  Students are welcome to come and slog through their homework, ask questions, and make up work. If you cannot find a ride home, the sweep bus will take all tutorial students to Welcome All for later pick up.

Expectations
Tutorials are for SERIOUS workers only. Please come ready to work, extend yourself, and focus. Arrive to my room between 3:30pm and 4:45pm. We will begin promptly at 4:45pm. Those who arrive at 4:46pm will not receive sweep bus passes. (This is to prevent students hanging out in the hallways and then wanting to join my tutorial late for the sweep bus pass.)

Structure
I run my homework tutorials through a mixture of kernel lectures (short bursts) and general study hall. The first 10 minutes, I give a few lecture choices, and the students pick the lecture that will benefit them the most. It is then private work time for the next 10 - 20 minutes. I circulate the room, helping students individually. After the private work time is over, I will give another kernel lecture based on what the students need. This pattern will continue. Students can treat this as a study hall to finish work if they would like, especially if they need that little extra explanation for the concept we are working on in class.
